5th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (11) Trulli Magic (B) was stuck inside behind horses and could only get to fifth at 2-1 odds. (8) Forever to Go used early speed to finish second and third in three starts of which the first two were on the turf. (3) Blue Eyed Scout puts the blinkers on after getting the lead in her last two starts and finishing second. (7) Leonora’s Secret was well bet in her first two starts.
7th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 7F] – (9) Certified Loverboy (C) was bet down from 7-2 to 2-1, set the pace, lost a head bob to a return winner, and got claimed. (10) Skylander won his last two starts getting claimed for $32,000 and then in a starter allowance. He is a late runner in a speed filled race now. (6) Locke and Key moved back to the main track and won the second-level allowance for NY-breds with a top speed figure. (8) Peek was claimed by Linda Rice in October from a Keeneland victory for $62,500.
8th race [NY, Alex M. Robb, 1 mi] – (5) Doc Sullivan (B) returned from a sixth-place finish in the Pennsylvania Derby (G1) and climbed badly due to kickback on a muddy track at Aqueduct in a NY Stallion Series Stakes and was fourth. (6) Olympic Dreams (D) was bet down from 7-1 to 5-1 in the Empire Classic where he was fourth after pressing the pace behind two horses that came back to win. (3) El Grande O won his last two starts since a layoff after his appearances on the Kentucky Derby trail and moves back to face NY-breds where he won two stakes last year. (7) Bank Frenzy is a past NY-bred stakes winner.
9th race [NY, Md 25000, 6 ½ F] – (4) Monomoy Beach (B) was third in his debut last month for a trainer that does not win with first-time starters. (5) One Vision was second in his first try at this lowest maiden claiming level. (11) M G Dash will make his first start against state-breds after two starts at Tampa in November. (9) Bookitwithhaddad will drop down to the lowest level after three starts.
Best bets: Doc Sullivan (8th); Monomoy Beach (9th). Best Value: Trulli Magic (5th); Certified Loverboy (7th).
