1st race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (4) Morgana’s Moment (B) showed early speed in her November debut at 4-1 but kept bearing out while racing greenly. Blinkers on now. (5) Lady Delilah moved from turf to dirt, set the pace, and finished second clear of the rest. (1) On a Summer Day moves from turf to dirt after getting the lead and missing by a neck going long on the grass. (3) Bodegas finds an easier field than in her prior starts in maiden special weights.
3rd race [Clm 20000, 1 mi] – (6) Shipsational (B) raced six-wide and closed well for second. (7) Lotsa Trouble comes back from a May layoff when he was racing in NY-bred allowances and drops to this claiming level where last seen he was a winner. (5) Market Maven won for $25,000 at Parx Racing last month for Jamie Ness who is going well at this Big A meeting. (2) Quiet Wisdom was claimed from his last three starts for $12,500 twice and $16,000 where he was a close third.
8th race [NY, Bay Ridge, 1 mi] – (5) Bernietakescharge (A) survived a hot pace in the Empire Distaff that collapsed and still held on for second. (2) Landed ships up from Kentucky for Wesley Ward to try and win her fourth NY-bred stakes. Past rider Johnny V. makes a rare winter Aqueduct appearance to ride her. (3) Atlantis Queen has been racing at Delaware Park and Laurel Park and faces state-breds after an allowance win in November. (4) Soloshot moved from turf to dirt and was second in a NY Stallion Series stakes last month.
10th race [Clm 17500 N2L, 7F] – (4) Itwillbefun (A) was taken up after an awkward start, was keen under restraint, rushed up to the lead as the favorite, faded, and got claimed. (9) Take Me to Londyn dropped down to the lowest tag of her career and was second with her best speed figure. (1) Cara’s Chianti was a front-end winner of a $20,000 maiden with a front-end effort. (6) That’sthefactjack has seven career finishes in second or third at this level.
Best bets: Morgana’s Moment (1st); Bernietakescharge (8th). Best value: Shipsational (3rd); Itwillbefun (10th).
