3^rd race [Clm 20000 N2L, 1 1/8 mi] – (6) Maldini (C) was bet down from 7-1 to 5-1 and finished second behind a horse that came back to win his next start. (3) Fever Night set the pace, finished second, and drops down a notch. (2) Apalta won a $20,000 maiden and then was in way too tough in a starter allowance. (5) Come to Papa was claimed from a victory in a $12,500 maiden just a week ago.

5^th race [Moc 75000C, 6F] – (5) Frankie Coffeecake has two seconds from two starts in a maiden special weight and a similar spot to this maiden claimer. (1) Mitolegayne set the pace in his debut at 5-2 and cuts back in distance a bit. (2) Two Ducks showed speed in three tries in maiden claimers. (3) Final Joke was third in his debut in this same type of race.

6^th race [Clm 16000, 1 mi] – (1) My First Love (B) was the 4-5 favorite, raced on a dead rail to finish second, and got claimed back. (2) Patty Cakes had two claiming wins at Parx and then got taken for $32,000 at Aqueduct in December. (3) Coquito was claimed from her last two starts including a win for $20,000 last month. (4) Curlin’s Magic was claimed by Linda Rice from a win at Churchill Downs in October and then tried an allowance a week ago.

8^th race [NY, Alw 35000s, 1 mi] – (6) Forgone (C) was bet down from 8-1 to 5-1 and finished third in a similar spot a month ago. (7) Romeo Void moved from turf to dirt and broke his maiden by almost six lengths with a front-end effort for a $35,000 tag.  (3) Senegal was claimed from his last two races for $30,000 including a win by almost seven lengths. (5) Mo Kreesa finished fourth in a similar spot after some trouble in the paddock pre-race.

Best bets: Frankie Coffeecake (5^th); Forgone (8^th). Best Value:  Maldini (3^rd); My First Love (6^th).
