4th race [Clm 16000 N2L, 1 1/8 mi] – (3) Brown Don’t Stop ran second and third at this claiming condition and has three very good races at the challenging nine-furlong distance. (4) D Day Sky will drop down to the lowest level of his career after running well for the $25,000 tag. (1) Taparino rallied from the back of the field to win a $20,000 maiden claimer by four lengths. (7) Ollie Can Dance is a late runner to use underneath in this field with long odds.
5th race [Clm 16000B, 6F] – (3) Perfect Flight was third and then second at this dual claiming condition of N3L and N1Y. (2) Zeebear has been off since August and drops out of a series of second-level allowances for NY-breds. (5) Aleah Aleah has early speed and used it to win the N2L condition by more than two lengths after opening up a big early lead. (1) I See You Lookin won two races in a row in the fall at Aqueduct and was third two weeks ago.
7th race [OC62k/N2X, 6F] – (5) Toxic Gray (A) raced wide on a speed favoring track and finished third. (3) Crazy Mason returned from a six month layoff to run fourth and then won the first-level allowance with a bold late rally. (6) Victory Way returned from a long layoff to run an excellent second and then did not appreciate the stretch-out to a mile. (1) Scoot Daddy moved to a New York barn with plenty of back races that would make him a contender.
8th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 7F] – (9) Grand Cash (A) was ready to compete for the win in his first start for a low-profile trainer. He raced wide, was herded in the stretch, and ran on. (1) Have a Cigar ran the best race of his career when second in January and now gets Lasix for the first-time. (7) Recurring Revenue is a first-time starter for Chad Brown and Klaravich Stables. (4) Tiote is a son of Authentic making his debut for Brad Cox and Calumet Farm.
Best bets: Brown Don’t Stop (4th); Toxic Gray (7th). Best value: Perfect Flight (5th); Grand Cash (9th).
