2nd race [Clm 30000B, 6F] – (1) Free Dance (D) was third in the early going after getting bet down from 12-1 to 8-1, finished fourth, and comes back from a three-month layoff. (4) Golden Plate will cut back from four tries at a mile where was a winner in October at Aqueduct in his first race for Linda Rice. Recent speed figures top this field. (6) Platform ships up from Laurel Park where was a winner for a $40,000 tag two races back and tried an allowance last time. (5) Typhoon Fury moved from turf to dirt and finished fourth last time in a $50,000 claimer.

4th race [Md 50000, 1 mi] – (4) Gulfy was second last time in a $75,000 claimer which was the first time he ran for a tag. (1) First Blessing gets first-time Lasix after a pair of thirds in the $75,000 maiden races. (3) Ima Big Bad Wolf will drop in for a tag for the first time for Brad Cox which is a 23% move. (4) Crowbar Artist will make her debut for Rick Dutrow with a series of workouts at Belmont Park showing.

5th race [Clm 10000, 6F] – (7) Miss Lao (C) hit the board in her last three starts at this level and was bet down from 11-1 to 6-1. (3) Maggie T was a front-end winner at this lowest claiming level. (6) Jackie the Joker won a starter allowance in January with a stalking trip and then was sixth after showing speed. (4) My First Love was claimed for $12,500 when she was third and then tried for $16,000 which was too tough.

6th race [Alw 50000s, 5 ½ F] – (1) Thirteen G’s (A) stumbled badly at the start and lost all chance when the rider lost his irons. (3) Shoot the Nickel was claimed from a win for $12,500 and was stepped up to run third in a starter allowance and then miss by a nose in another. (4) Social Hour used speed to run second and fourth in a pair of starter allowances and was a winner for $40,000 in December. (2) Spirit Dragon was claimed from his last three starts for $30,000 where he won twice and was second once.

Best bets: Free Dance (2nd); Gulfy (4th). Best value: Miss Lao (5th); Thirteen G’s (6th).
