3rd race [NY, Clm 25000 N1X, 7F] – (3) Montebello (B) raced wide on an inside favoring track and finished second well clear of the rest. (4) That’s Money was claimed for $16,000 last time when he was a winner and moves back to face NY-breds. (1) Horse Be With You returns from a five-month layoff and drops in class moving back to state-bred competition. (5) Brew Pub raced against tougher competition in his last two starts.
5th race [Clm 25000 N2L, 6 ½ F] – (3) Justheart (B) raced six wide on a track that had a strong inside bias, finished second, and got claimed. (4) She’s Always Rosie came back from a five-month layoff, set the pace, and finished second in a $40,000 race. (2) Be Inspired raced at Laurel Park in her four starts with a debut win in a maiden special weight and then four allowances. Blinkers go on. (6) Dat Dares Right ran the best race of her career last month when she improved to finish second.
6th race [Clm 16000B, 7F] – (6) Thank You Jon (B) broke slowly and got what a NY handicapper described as a “strange ride”, finished third, and was claimed. (1) I See You Lookin drops back to the $16,000 claiming level at which he broke his maiden and won the N2L condition. (2) Badlands Ruler was a winner for the second time a year ago at this claiming price. (3) King Khali is a past maiden special weight winner.
8th race [OC50k/SAL50k, 1 mi] – (4) Ada May (A) lost irons at the start, got far behind, and rallied to finish second. (8) Heavenly Light moved from a $50,000 maiden claiming win to run second at this starter allowance level. (6) Helen’s Revenge moved from Oaklawn Park where she broke her maiden and then tried a stakes race to join the barn of Linda Rice. (3) Timia beat NY-breds in a maiden special weight and tried the first-level allowance twice.
