1st race [Clm 16000 N2L, 1 mi] – (7) Lem Me Drink (B) ran in traffic heading into the stretch and then went well to get third. (3) Wild Iris broke her maiden two races back going seven furlongs for a $20,000 tag and then was two lengths behind in a starter allowance. (2) Accelerina had the lead in a similar spot, drifted out in the stretch, and got beat by a nose. (6) Political Spin was a winner two weeks ago of a $20,000 maiden race where he closed from a stalking position.
7th race [Alw 82000 N1X, 6 ½ F] – (1) Radio Red and (1A) Crazy Mason make a Reeves Thoroughbred entry and both should be considered win contenders. Crazy Mason was fourth in an allowance following a six month layoff from a third in the Long Branch at Monmouth Park. (4) Quick to Accuse has a pair of allowance second-place finishes and regular rider Manny Franco stays on board. (5) Beaver State has two wins and a second in his last three races moving from a maiden claiming win to a second and a first in starter allowances. (6) Silo Ridge returns from a year off as a new gelding. He won a maiden special weight and was second in an allowance and has been away since a fourth in February.
8th race [Busanda, 1 1/8 mi] – (9) Running Away began his career with two turf races where she ran second at Saratoga and third by a neck at Keeneland. Moving to the dirt, she broke her maiden by five lengths at Churchill going long. (3) Ramify won her only start last month rallying from far behind in last while racing greenly. (8) Bernieandtherose won her last two starts after finishing third in her debut. Those victories were against NY-breds by a combined 14 lengths while increasing from seven furlongs to a mile. (1) Sharp Smile broke her maiden in her third start for Brad Cox.
9th race [NY, Md 25000, 6F] – (3) Vamonos Vamonos (C) was bet down from 5-1 to be the 5-2 favorite, got to the lead from the far outside post in a full field, finished second well clear of the rest of the field, and got claimed. (6) Cada Dia Mejor was third in his first start at this level after a very wide trip. (9) Monte Avi has been running for a $40,000 tag where he was third twice recently. (4) Whiskey Frens drops out of two starts in maiden special weights for Rick Dutrow.
Best bets: Reeves entry (7th); Running Away (8th). Best Value: Lem Me Drink (1st); Vamonos Vamonos (9th).
