1st race [Md Sp Wt, 7F] – (4) Glint (A) broke slowly in his debut, got rushed up into contention, and finished third. (7) Foxhole finished second in his first start as an odds-on favorite at Saratoga for Todd Pletcher when he pressed the pace, clipped heels, and missed by a nose. (1) J D Factor was second in November and then third in January, both times after setting the pace. (2) Cowboy Cache was a $310,000 yearling purchase and will make his first start for Rick Dutrow.

6th race [NY, Alw 72000, 7F] – (1) Paschal Moon broke his maiden two races back and then followed that effort with a second in his first appearance in allowance company. (7) Dr. Kraft was second by a neck in his last two starts against similar allowance fields. (2) Piece of Truth was third in an allowance last month and makes his first start going seven furlongs which should be ideal. (4) Quick to Accuse will change to the barn of Brad Cox who wins with horses new to his barn at a very high 36%.

7th race [NY, Biogio’s Rose, 1 mi] – (1) Security Code moved from a win in a first-level allowance against open company to a victory in the state-bred Broadway stakes last month. She is an ultra-consistent type with top three finishes in 11 out of her last 12 starts which span a period of 13 months. (7) Venti Valentine is another one of those veteran NY-breds that rarely runs a bad race. Last time she was only a neck behind the top choice in the Broadway. The Jorge Abreu trainee will move back to the mile distance at which she has a great record of 7: 4-1-2 with earnings of $455,000. (6) Bon Adieu won 4 out of last 6 starts and hit the board in her last seven races. Her last five were going a mile while racing on the lead. In her two most recent starts she moved through the NY-bred allowance conditions. (5) Lady Mine was claimed for $30,000 in April and since then has four wins in six starts including a starter allowance against open company and both state-bred allowance levels. She does her best running with late rallies.

8th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 7F] – (4) Silver Satin (B) was sent off as the favorite in his debut, shied away from urging with the crop, and lost to a Todd Pletcher runner. (6) Shlomo is showing fast recent workout for his first career starts for Bill Mott with Lasix. (1) Big Ego was part of a favored entry from George Weaver in his race and finished fourth. (11) Vin Santo will make his seventh try to get his maiden win with a second and a pair of thirds in his recent races but will go now as a gelding.

Best bets: Glint (1st); Silver Satin (8th). Best value: Paschal Moon (7th); Silver Satin (8th).
