2nd race [Clm 32000, 1 mi] – (2) Gimme Gimme was third last time in a very tough starter allowance and was claimed for $50,000 two races back by Linda Rice. (4) Sunday Gift was a winner of a NY-bred maiden in January by eight lengths and gets first-time Lasix. (1) Steel Vengeance comes out of that same starter allowance as the top choice. (3) Rockible won a maiden claimer by more than four lengths last time and Lezcano stays on board for Rice.
5th race [Clm 50000B, 6 ½ F] – (2) What’s Up Bro (B) came back from a seven month layoff, had to check sharply while rank and hard to handle, and now drops back to the claiming ranks. (1) Paxsational drops back to the claiming where he broke his maiden for $50,000 and then won a starter allowance with front-end efforts. (3) Disarmed moves in for a tag after racing in high level allowances. (4) Spun and Won will make his third start off a layoff following a big improvement to form last month.
7th race [Md 20000, 6 ½ F] – (6) Global Charmer (B) dropped into a maiden claimer, stalked, got the lead, and was beat at the wire by a neck. (2) Melancia will make a drop down to this lowest level and has early speed. (5) Allenhurst ships up to New York from the Tampa division of the Sacco barn having just missed by a neck. She will get blinkers back on. (4) Spitfire Gal debuted in a maiden special weight and gets Lasix for her second start.
9th race [NY, Clm 25000, 1 mi] – (6) Brew Pub (B) tossed his head, broke last, rallied wide, loomed up, finished second, and got claimed. (9) Amedeus Music exits a series of allowance and starter allowances into this claimer that is restricted to NY-breds. (8) Montebello was a winner at this level last month with a front-end effort and got claimed. (1) That’s Money was claimed from his last two starts with a win for $16,000 against open company and a third in February behind Montebello.
