1st race [Clm 16000 N2L, 1 mi] – (3) Wine Responsibly (B) broke slowly, had to race very wide, and ran late to get fourth in a similar spot. (4) York Tavern finished in the top three in his last three starts at this N2L condition. (8) Golden Purchase set the pace two races back and finished second at this level. (5) Ice Road was third for a $25,000 tag about two weeks ago and should be used underneath.

2nd race [Md 20000, 7F] – (8) Wild Iris (B) climbed from kickback in her first start on the main track and rallied to just miss second only a half-length from the win. (1) Millie Jean came back from an 11 month layoff, set the pace, and finished second. (5) Lucky and Gorgeous drops down from a series of starts for a $40,000 tag and moves from dirt to turf. (2) Colette’s Joy was claimed for $50,000 in April at Keeneland by Linda Rice, gets blinkers off, and cuts back to a sprint.

3rd race [OC 62k/N2X, 1 mi] – (4) Autumn Evening will drop from a pair of Grade 3 races this summer after an impressive allowance victory. She will go with blinkers off and first time Lasix. (6) Willow Bend was claimed from a win for $32,000 and then came back to run second at today’s level. (5) Luna Moth raced very wide in a September allowance and got to third beaten by less than a length. (2) Midtown Lights was claimed for $45,000 from an August NY-bred top-level allowance and since then was second in a stakes race at Finger Lakes.

9th race [Clm 16000 N2L, 7F] – (8) Violets Smile moved from New Jersey-bred races to finish second against open company in a N2L claimer. (7) Magic Eight Ball will move from turf to dirt while making a big drop in claiming price. (2) Bewildered was a winner when she moved to a $20,000 maiden claimer so the move to this N2L condition is appropriate. (6) Last Glory will try the dirt after past races against better horses.

Best bets: Wine Responsibility (1st); Wild Iris (2nd). Best value: Autumn Evening (3rd); Violets Smile (9th).
