4th race [Clm 50000 N2L, 6 ½ F] – (2) Big Air (D) was bet down from 11-1 to 7-1, pressed the pace, and finished fourth in a starter allowance three weeks ago. (7) Perugia returns from a June layoff and moves from turf back to dirt where he was a convincing maiden special weight winner against NY-breds. (5) Chocolatechocolate was taken for $20,000 from a fast maiden race and then was second in a N2L claimer after having the lead. (1) Circuit Court was a maiden $35,000 winner at Saratoga by almost six lengths who since tried a pair of starter allowances.
5th race [Md 35000, 6F] – (1) Medium Cool (D) was a longshot last time and had a drop in odds from 36-1 to 30-1 and moves from turf to dirt while taking a significant drop in class. (6) Clarividente had three second-place finishes in maiden special weights outside of New York. (8) Marajoline was fourth in her debut at Monmouth Park at 5-2 in a maiden special and then tried the turf twice at Aqueduct. (3) Cravings drops from a pair of maiden special weights at Aqueduct as a filly that sold for $200,000 in April.
7th race [Clm 30000B, 6 ½ F] – (1) Bourbon Serengeti (B) got pinched back at the start and then had to race five wide the whole way as the favorite, finished fourth in July at Saratoga, and got claimed for $50,000 for the second time in her last three starts. (9) Maxaluna won a maiden $40,000 at first asking and a N3L claimer last month and gets in this race as a 3-year-old with three wins already. (8) Moon Gate comes back from a September layoff. She won at Saratoga in an open claimer and was taken for $32,000. She was in tough in her last two races. (7) Cararra cuts back in distance a bit after showing early speed and drops down to the lowest level of her career.
8th race [OC 75K/N2X, 6 ½ F] – (5) With the Angels is undefeated in five starts with the first four against NY-breds where she moved from an 11-length maiden score to three easy victories in state-bred stakes. Last month she took a first-level allowance against open company. (6) All Class has 10 top three finishes from 14 starts where she raced in allowance company. In September she tried the Gallant Bloom (G2). (3) Cupid’s Heart has four top three finishes at this second-level of allowances and a couple of tries in NY-bred stakes. (2) Twirling Beauty returns from a September layoff and changes to the barn of David Duggan. She was second in stakes at Presque Isle and tried the turf when last seen in September.
Best bets: Big Air (4th); With the Angels (8th). Best value: Medium Cool (5th); Bourbon Serengeti (7th).
