4th race [Clm 17500 N3L, 1 1/8 mi] – (4) Golden Purchase (A) broke through the gate, got the lead early, and drew off. (3) Six Kings tried the turf last time but returns to this level at which he battled down the stretch and lost a head bob for the win. (2) Provision had hit the board three times in N3L claimers in his most recent races. (5) Because the Night has been racing at this level recently.
5th race [OC50k/SAL50K, 6F TURF] – (1A) Social Hour (B) broke last and got steadied leaving the backstretch. (6) Ready Set Twirl moved to the turf for the first time, broke his maiden for a $50,000 tag, and Flavien Prat stays on board. (3) King Covee moved back to the grass as he made his debut in 2025, rallied from ninth, and missed by a neck at Aqueduct. (2) Master Freud also went back to grass after racing on the dirt in the winter and last month set the pace going long.
6th race [Alw 50000s, 7F – (2) Street View raced against the guys last time but before that had four races with top three finishes including a pair of wins from which she was claimed. (1) Roman Goddess and (1A) Catchphrase make a Rudy Rodriguez entry where both of them are win contenders. (6) Despo’s Dream won the N3L condition last time with her best speed figure showing and now moves her to a starter allowance. (4) Melle Mel broke her maiden for $50,000 at Gulfstream Park in February and then tries a stakes race.
7th race [NY, Alw 81000 N1X, 1 1/6 mi TURF] – (2) Amy’s Light (B) raced five wide and rallied for second. (5) Mommy’s Turn moved from dirt to turf in his second start after a five-month layoff for Chad Brown and won a maiden special weight. (4) Spirit of Esther was second in a starter allowance last month, then tried an allowance, and comes back here in three weeks. (6) Grace and Grit was fourth in her first start of the year while moving back to the grass and getting Lasix for the first time.
Best bets: Golden Purchase (4th); Street View (6th). Best value: Social Hour (5th); Amy’s Light (7th).
