3rd race [Clm 17500 N2L, 1 mi] – (9) Sunday Gilt (D) was bet down from 7-2 to be the 8-5 favorite in his first start after a three-month layoff, finished fourth in a $32,000 race, and got claimed by Linda Rice. (3) Iron Man Ira hit the board in his last three starts in N2L claimers ranging from $16,000 to $25,000. (7) Union Express finished in the top three in his two most recent starts for $16,000. (5) Bernie Goes Boom broke his maiden for a $20,000 tag three races back and then raced twice in spots that were way too tough.
4th race [Clm 20000, 7F] – (8) Lika Rolling Stone (A) stumbled at the start, quickly got to the lead, battled down the stretch, got beat by a neck, and was claimed for $10,000. (1) Spring Magic was claimed from five races in a row and in the sequence she finished in the top three each time. (5) Gone and Forgotten has 12 career victories and was second last month for a $25,000 tag. (7) Irish Jackson was a winner in March in a N3L claimer for $16,000.
5th race [Md 50000, 1 mi] – (6) Golden Symphony was claimed from his last two races, first by Linda Rice in Kentucky, and then by Brad Cox at Aqueduct for $40,000. (9) Honor the Bull shipped up from Florida to make his second start when he dropped in for a tag and finished third. He comes back as a new gelding now. (1) Dark Devil finished in the top three seven times including his last two. (2) Nantz has been off since his debut at Saratoga for Todd Pletcher and Repole Stable.
7th race [OC 100k/N1X, 1 mi] – (1) Scottish Lassie won the Frizette (G1) in her second start in October and then was fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1). She will have first-time Lasix for her 2025 debut. (4) Cassiar was a debut winner for Shug McGaughey at Tampa in February and then was third in the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) behind two fillies that are in the Kentucky Oaks on Saturday. (7) Lottie Margaret won both times by 10 lengths in a maiden and an allowance against NY-breds before she was second in a state-bred stakes. (6) Dry Powder won her only race at Gulfstream in March at 2-1 odds and was a $525,000 yearling purchase.
