1st race [Md 55000, 6F TURF] – (6) Jet Off returns to the turf after three starts at Turfway Park this year. He drops into a maiden claimer for the first time and will again use his early speed. (7) Two Ducks was second two races ago at this level and then tried a maiden special weight again. (1) Town Dog is a first time starter for Tom Morley who was purchased as a yearling for much more than his sire’s stud fee. (4) Hard Circle will cut back in distance and return to the turf.
3rd race [NY, OC 45k/N2X, 1 mi] – (4) Fast and Frisky drops back in for the $45,000 tag where she was a winner two races back and got taken. (5) Sweetest Princess was also claimed for $45,000 two races back then Linda Rice put her in a NY-bred stakes race. (1) Giant At Work was second in March at this level between two of the runners from today’s field. (6) Early On won the first-level allowance by almost seven-lengths in March and was third last month when she moved up to this type of race.
4th race [Alw 55000s, 1 mi] – (4) Turn and Count made his last three starts at this top-level starter allowance and had the lead down the stretch getting passed nearing the wire. (3) Playa Del Mar won a $50,000 N2L claimer in April by almost 10 lengths in his first start since Linda Rice took him for that same tag. (1) J J’s Ranger was claimed for $10,000 three races ago and then was third and second in a pair of starter allowances.
5th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (2) Classic Commander (B) was rank on the outside and moved up on his own in his first turf start. (1) Before the Wind returns from a winter break with top four finishes in his prior five starts on the turf in New York. (4) Honoree was last seen when he moved from dirt to turf in his second start at Saratoga and finished second. (7) Sfumato debuted in February in a main track sprint for Bill Mott and could be moving to the right surface for the hall of fame trainer.
