6th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (1) Asked and Answered (B) used a steady late run after a slow start to finish second at 14-1 and got claimed for $20,000. Blinkers go on and Lasix is added for the first time. (2) Coordinator debuted at Keeneland last month at 5-2 and rallied for third from the back after getting forced out wide. (6) C J Star was second in his second start in April following a five month layoff. (8) Glavine has been away since finishing second by a head in his debut at Saratoga going wide on both turns.
7th race [Alw 88000 N1X, 1 mi] – (5) I’m Ready to Go (A) had the lead following a year layoff and finished second between two horses that came back to win their next starts. Flavien Prat gets on board for Chad Brown. (1) Bold Strength was second in an allowance last month after pressing the pace. (2) Jimmy’s Dailys came back from a five month layoff at 5-2 with a pair of second-place finishes in stakes in Kentucky. (6) Brazenly hit the board three times this year in allowance races while pressing the pace.
8th race [NY, Alw 82000 N1X, 1 mi] – (6) Stickupwithoutagun (A) returned from a six-month layoff, set a very fast pace, and hung in to get third. (1) Senegal returned to state-bred racing and was second in a similar spot to this one. (5) Max Money came back from a four month break to win a maiden by three lengths. (4) Tarpaulin won a NY-bred starter allowance 10 days ago.
9th race [NY, Alw 82000 N1X, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (4) Ortus (A) was last seen in August when he pressed the pace at Saratoga, got the lead, and fought hard to get third in a blanket finish. (9) Just for Luck is back against state-breds for the first time since September. (12) Lachaise will make his first start of the year and also gets back to racing with fellow NY-breds. (5) A Little At First was an impressive maiden winner when last seen in November against open company on the grass at the Big A.
