2nd race [Md Sp Wt, 6 ½ F] – (4) Run Wild is a home-bred son of Gun Runner who was touted during the summer at Saratoga and is trained by Miguel Clement whose debut runners have been ready to run. (2) Highgrove has been training in Florida for Brad Cox and shows a few fast works. (3) Morning Menace was last seen running second at Ellis Park in August and changes to the barn of Chad Brown. (5) Long Term Market comes from Klaravich Stables and Chad as you can tell from the name and is listed as the favorite.
4th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (1) Silver Talent debuted in March as the favorite for Chad and Flavien Prat in March but broke last in a field of eight. (5) Sorrentino was fifth in his first start at Gulfstream Park in March and broke slowly going a mile. (2) Chili Palmer makes his first start for Gold Square and Chad Summers who has good numbers with firsters. (3) Dark Assault takes blinkers off for his sixth start showing a trio of top three finishes.
6th race [Alw 88000 N1X, 6 ½ F] – (5) Pair of Socks has seven top three finishes in a row in allowance and starter allowances. (1) Oil Capital broke his maiden for a $75,000 tag and then won a starter allowance and was third three weeks ago at today’s level. (3) Day One Starter was third in the Nashua and had the lead in that salty Remsen (G2). In Florida he was second and third in allowances. (6) Tiger Twenty Four has a pair of thirds for Bill Mott and has shown plenty of early speed.
8th race [NY, Md 35000, 6 ½ F] – (5) Island Charm moves back to the dirt where he hit the board three times with plenty of early speed. (1) Khali’s Storm has seven top three finishes in a row in a variety of maiden claimers. (8) I Rest My Case moves from turf to dirt after last running at Saratoga and drops in for a tag for the first time for Bill Mott. (7) Grit N Glitter comes back from a March layoff with a couple of second-place finishes in maiden claimers.
Best bets: Silver Talent (4th); Island Charm (8th). Best Value: Run Wild (2nd); Pair of Socks (6th).
