5th race [Md 20000, 1 mi] – (3) Private Flight finished second in March at Gulfstream Park for a $25,000 tag in his second start of the year. (8) Swiss Army Knife tried the turf three weeks ago, moves back to the dirt, and drops down to the lowest level of his career with blinkers off. (1) Isola d’Oro was second by a nose two weeks ago for a $16,000 tag following a couple months off. (2) Sounds Like Fun set the pace in his second start of the year and was third going the mile.
6th race [Clm 10000, 1 mi] – (1) High Tide drops down to this lowest level after getting claimed for $16,000 in June and finishing third twice. (9) Centavo was a winner at today’s level for $10,000 in March and then tried much tougher competition twice. (4) Prove Worthy came back from an almost year layoff and drops to his lowest level with a couple of wins last year for $16,000 and $20,000. (2) Brew Pub hit the board in his last three starts and was a winner three weeks ago and was claimed for $10,000.
7th race [NY, Md 50000, 6F TURF] – (3) Peyton was fourth in his debut in a maiden special weight last month after pressing the pace. (6) Beau Cheval was entered for the turf twice this year and had to run on wet tracks at Tampa and Aqueduct. (9) Mykonos was fourth in his last two starts with contentious speed figures. (8) Until Last Call returned from a winter layoff two weeks ago and could have better results against this field.
8th race [NY, Md 50000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (9) Night Jasmine (C) returned from a winter layoff, was bet down from 9-1 to 5-1, and finished third after a wide trip. (3) Athena’s Fury made one start last year at Saratoga in a maiden special weight and finished fourth. (4) Speed Walking was entered for the grass in his debut two weeks ago and was fourth on a muddy and sealed track at Aqueduct. (7) Sky Low Low was second at Fair Grounds in March for a $30,000 tag and then was fifth back against NY-breds three weeks ago.
Best bets: Private Flight (5th); Peyton (7th). Best Value: High Tide (6th); Night Jasmine (9th).
