2nd race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (5) Rebel Instinct (A) finished second in his first start behind an experienced favorite. (3) Hadrian’s Wall has been working steadily at Belmont Park since August for Chad Brown and Coolmore connections for his debut as a $1.3 million yearling purchase. (4) Buntus Foclura, which is an illustrated Irish dictionary for children, showed significant improvement in his second start for Donegal Racing when he set the pace and finished third. (6) Double Act was third in his first start for Bill Mott at 4-1 and should step forward here.

5th race [NY, Md 30000, 6F] – (5) Army Proud (C) was bet down from 4-1 to 2-1 and then ran second the entire race behind a heavy favorite. (10) Let’s Get Weird was second the last time that he ran for this $30,000 tag which was in his second start. He was then fourth when he stepped up in class. (9) Rout was fourth in July at 5-1 in his debut and now drops in for a tag. (7) Vibrant Express set the pace in his first start in August and faded to fourth in a race where the comments say that he bled. He comes back with Lasix for the first time.

9th race [Bold Ruler (G3), 6F] – (1) Buccherino has top three finishes in 13 out of 16 career starts including wins in a pair of stakes races at Parx as the favorite. (5) Full Moon Madness came back from a three-month layoff to finish second behind the top choice. He is a past stakes winner including the Tom Fool (G3) at Aqueduct in March. (4) Subrogate won the DeFrancis Memorial at Laurel Park in his most recent race in June. (3) Bouncer finished first or second in six allowance races at Mid-Atlantic tracks since March.

11th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (9) Greyjoy (C) was bet down from 13-1 to 10-1 and finished third for the second time. (7) My Lil Army Girl moved from dirt to turf and enjoyed the change to finish third in a full field of 12. (10) Tuthilltown was an even-money favorite in her July debut on a muddy and sealed track when she pressed the pace to finish third and blinkers go on now. (4) Whatta Weekend will make her first career start for a trainer that is good with debut runners.

Best bets: Rebel Instinct (2nd); Buccherino (9th). Best value: Army Proud (5th); Greyjoy (11th).
