2nd race [Alw 95000 N1X, 6 ½ F] – (4) Harrodsburg (A) won his debut race at Aqueduct at the end of March by more than two lengths in a small but high quality at 3-1. (6) Listentoyourheart made three starts in 2023 with increasing speed figures each time including a 100 BSF from a victory in the second-level NY-bred allowance which brings him to this open-company allowance. (3) Trash Talker was claimed for $25,000 from a front-running win at Aqueduct in his second start of the year. (2) American Law has four seconds and a win in his last five races.  Last time he was beaten by less than a length.

6th race [Alw 95000 N1X, 1 mi] – (5) Barese will make his 2023 debut in this allowance with a strong resume that includes a pair of NY-bred stakes wins and a second in the Discovery at Aqueduct back in November. He won his only start at Belmont Park is his career debut. (1) Film Star was claimed from Brad Cox for $75,000 by Linda Rice from an easy victory when he got loose on the lead. (3) Prince of Pharoahs will be the first horse for Rick Dutrow who returns from his 10-year suspension. Dutrow claimed the NY-bred from an optional claimer for state-breds for $45,000 last month. (6) South Street has been away for a year for Bill Mott and was a maiden winner at the Big A going nine-furlongs.

7th race [Md Sp Wt, 6 ½ F] – (3) Subrogate (C) was second in his debut at Aqueduct last month going a mile at 6-1 odds after getting bet down from 13-1 to 6-1. (4) Honor King will make his first career start for Jorge Abreu who is very good with firsters. This son of Ky. Derby winner Always Dreaming is out of a mare that has produced 6 winners from 9 to start including a winner of the Remsen (G2). (7) Run Diem Z is another debut runner in this strong maiden race. He is out of a mare that was a stakes winner as a 2-year-old and has produced 4 winners from 4 to start. (5) Disappearance will also make his first start as a half-brother to the millionaire NY-bred Bankit but he is by Good Magic.

9th race [Fort Marcy (G2), 1 1/8 mi TURF] – (3) Ottoman Fleet will make his American debut for Charlie Appleby who has excellent results bringing Godolphin runners over from Europe. His last race was at Newmarket in Great Britain in a Group 3 that he won by two lengths. In 10 starts only once did he miss the top three with most of those coming in Group 2 and 3 stakes. (6) City Man ran twice at Gulfstream Park in the winter and won the Fort Lauderdale (G2) after a troubled trip in the early going. He returns from a layoff after the Pegasus World Cup Turf (G1). City Man has nine victories in his career with seven on the grass. (2) King Cause was a Grade 3 winner on the turf at Aqueduct in the Knickerbocker and faced City Man twice since then for Mike Maker who is an excellent turf trainer. (5) Rockemperor will make his 2023 debut as a gelding. This now 7-year-old millionaire-earning Chad Brown runner is a multiple Grade 1 winner who will be hard to beat at his best.

Best bets: Barese (6th); Ottoman Fleet (9th). Best value: Harrodsburg (2nd); Subrogate (7th).
