th race [Winter Memories (G3), 1 mi TURF] – (4) Hand Over Heart (A) had to check at the start and then rallied from far back in an eight-horse field to first in a dead heat to win for Chad Brown. (1) Alone Time (A) was in a roughly run allowance at Saratoga where she had to steady a few times and got running late to finish third beaten by a half-length. (7) Shelzawa put together two wins at Saratoga moving from a maiden to an allowance for Brown. (3) Crossover Capital is a third filly in this field for Brown. She has European bloodlines on both sides and won both of her starts this summer in a Monmouth maiden and a Saratoga allowance.

th race [Vosburgh (G3), 7F] – (8) Senior Officer won three allowance races - one at Keeneland and two at Saratoga - on the way to running a dead-heat second in the Forego (G1) by less than a length. (5) Moonlight ships from California to New York for a trainer that rarely sends horses east. This horse cut back to sprinting for his last two starts and was third in the Bing Crosby (G1) and second in the Pat O’Brien (G2) at Del Mar. (1) T Kraft was in that dead heat for the place spot in the Forego. (2) Contrary Thinking has three strong allowance appearances since moving from the Chad Brown barn to Amelia Green.

th race [Turf Classic (G1), 1 ½ mi TURF] – (4) Pride of Arras is a new European invader and a long-distance specialist with a Group 2 win and a second at York. The Euros have several stakes wins in New York this year. (2) Far Bridge is a past winner of this race amongst his 10 career victories that include multiple Grade 1s. (1) Fort George was third in the Turf Cup (G2) at Kentucky Downs three weeks ago in his second American race. (3) El Cordobes won the Sword Dancer (G1) in his American debut last year, was third in this race, and third in the Breeders’ Cup Turf.

th race [Flower Bowl (G2), 1 ¼ mi TURF] – (9) Kathrynmarissa won the Diana (G1) at Saratoga in July for Chad Brown. (1) Evershed won the Waya (G3) at Saratoga in August. (3) Sunlit Uplands was second by a neck in the Ballston Spa (G2) in his first race in America and is a Group 3 winner in Europe. (5) Esna will run for the first time in the USA after a pair of seconds in Group 3 races at Deauville in France and Ascot in England.

Best bets: Senior Officer (6th); Kathrynmarissa (8th). Best value: Hand Over Heart (4th); Pride of Arras (7th).
