1^st race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/8 mi] – (8) Hadrian’s Wall (B) finished second twice as a 2-year-old and in December it was behind a horse that placed on the Kentucky Derby trail. (3) Commerce was second in his first start at 5-2 for Bill Mott at Keeneland behind a horse that won his next start in an allowance at Woodbine. (1) Storming will make his debut after one who was highly regarded during the summer at Saratoga. (9) Dark Assault has gotten close to getting the maiden win a few times.

3^rd race [Md Sp Wt, 6 ½ F] – (3) Tab At Zanzibar (B) was second in his debut in April and was clear of the rest of the field. (1) Hero Declared (A) was second in his first start as the 4-5 favorite at Saratoga last year ahead of the horse that finished second in the Kentucky Derby this year. (4) Presidential Power is a well-bred home-bred firster for Pletcher and Whisper Hill. (6) Criteria was second behind the champion Ted Noffey at Saratoga last summer.

8^th race [OC 80k/C, 5 ½ F TURF] – (10) Mentee (B) got steadied and blocked, saved ground, and had a strong finish for third. (3) Final Verdict has lots of top three finishes in fast races and gets Flavien Prat. (2) Whatchatalkinabout had a good return race following a winter layoff for Wesley Ward. (12) Determined Kingdom has 10 career victories and consistently faced strong competition and maybe gets some class relief in here.

12^th race [Ogden Phipps (G1), 1 1/8 mi] – (1) Fully Subscribed returned from a six month layoff and finished second in the La Troienne (G1) at Churchill on the Kentucky Oaks day undercard. (3) Alpine Princess never runs a bad race and won the Doubledogdare (G2) at Keeneland in April. (5) Nitrogen has never finished worse than third while racing against the best horses in her division and has a perfect record at Saratoga. (2) Regaled is another consistent competitor but she would move up if the track is wet.

Best bets: Hadrian’s Wall (1^st); Fully Subscribed (12^th). Best value: Tab At Zanzibar (3^rd); Mentee (8^th).
