1st race – (6)  Golden Plate may wake up off the claim by Rice and the class drop. (3) Gold Search has speed and will be tough to catch here. (1) Atlantic Dancer should pose a late threat. (5) Ortho Star could be a contender here. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-6.

3rd race – (7) Churning Berni (C) dropped from 2-1 to 8-5 and was a good second. Seems poised for a win here. (5) Ashes and Diamonds should respond to the cutback in distance. (6) Order Restored has speed and can hang around until the end. (8) Darty Time is an interesting first-time starter. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-6-7-8.

5^th race – (6) Can’t Hush This was fourth last time but could improve off the Sharp claim. (9) Inexorable has a late kick and could complete the exacta. (1) Dean Martini will be helped by a rail trip. (2) El Rey Dorado fits in nicely here. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-9.

7th race – (8) Pinfire comes off a big, front-running win and can make it two in a row. (7) Cat On Time can rebound here with a better try. (2) Cascais could be a contender in this group. (11) Miles Ahead is worth a look off the Maker claim. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-8-11. Doubles: 2-7-8-11 with 1-3-4-8.

8th race – (4) War Legend cuts back in distance and may benefit from the switch. (3) Beer Run was second or third in six of eight starts. Belongs in the exotics. (8) Gas Alley may shine on turf. (1) Mr Bobo could fire a big shot in his debut. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-8.
