Through five days, the gross for 1,125 horses sold through the ring is up 31.54% from the same period last year when 1,055 horses sold for $163,353,500. Average price rose 23.25% from $154,837 to $190,996. The median of $130,000 increased 36.84% from last year’s $95,000.
On Saturday, Keeneland sold 259 horses through the ring for $25,328,500, a 29.55% jump from the fifth day last year when 255 horses grossed $19,551,500. The average of $97,793 was 27.55% higher than $76,673 in 2024, while the median rose 41.67% from $60,000 to $85,000.
Cary Bloodstock for Coteau Grove Farms paid $400,000 for today’s high seller, Way too Sexy, a 4-year-old daughter of Flatter in foal to McKinzie. Consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale at Xalapa, she is out of stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Ready to Confess, by More Than Ready. A half-sister to stakes winner No Confession, Way too Sexy is from the family of Grade 1 winner Confessional.

The top-priced weanling was a son of Vekoma sold to En Fuego Stables for $375,000. Columbiana Farms, agent, consigned the colt, whose dam is the Nyquist mare Camelot’s Cup. He is from the family of Grade 2 winners Avie’s Fancy and St Averil.
Cherry Knoll Farm spent $335,000 for a weanling colt by Street Sense consigned by Gainesway, agent. Out of winning Grade 3-placed Mama Rina, by Gormley, he is from the family of champion Sacahuista.
Gainesway led consignors Saturday with sales of $3,807,000 for 37 horses.
Mulholland Springs, agent, consigned a colt from the first crop of Grade 1 winner Gunite purchased by Faris Breeding for $310,000. From the family of Grade 1 winner Stormy Lucy, he is out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Lucy Buckner.
Faris Breeding spent $930,000 on six horses to lead buyers during the session.
Bringing $275,000 from Green Lantern Stables was the aforementioned Mama Rina. Gainesway, agent, also consigned the 6-year-old mare, who is in foal to Charlatan.
