1st race – (3) Shetslkstoangels was second on turf in her debut, but should be able to handle dirt. (4) Low Country Magic could surprise in her debut. (5) Razzle Red didn’t fire on turf but may like dirt. (1) Vino Veloce adds Lasix and blinkers for her comeback race.. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-5.

3rd race – (2) Kara and Colleen has a nice dirt pedigree and should shine here. (3) Dynamism was second in her belated debut and could  be the one to fear. (5) Foreseen can make her presence felt here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5. Doubles: 2-3-5 with 2-4-9-11.

4th race – (4) Bostontonian has the look of another 2-year-old winner for Ward. (9) Strummin was second in his debut and figures to be the main threat. (2) Jet Sweep Joe is working nicely for his debut. (11) Probable Ten could be a factor. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place.  Exacta box: 2-4-9-11.

6th race – (1) De’ Ans Eighty looks best in this field. (5) Popperina missed by a nose and looms as the one to fear. (4) Little Sister Sue should be closing strongly at the end. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-4-5.

8th race – (7) Practical Thought missed by a head last time and can make amends here. (8) Olivier will welcome the class relief in a claimer. (1) Trumptastic will benefit from a rail trip. (5) Contemplation is worth thinking about in this field. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-7-8.
