Race 12– The Jeff Ruby is a [100-50-25-15-10] points qualifier on the road to the 2026 Kentucky Derby. A field of 12 was drawn and will run 1 1/8 miles on the Tapeta track. (11) Stark Contrast will make the change from turf to the synthetic track. In four starts on the grass he won a maiden at Del Mar and the Zuma Beach (G3) at Santa Anita, was a close second in the Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1), and won the Eddie Logan in his 2026 debut. (2) Fulleffort made two starts this year and they were his only races on the main track at Turfway. He was second in a pair of stakes including the Battaglia on the Derby trail. (5) Black Hornet got two recent victories in a maiden and the Black Gold when he moved from dirt to turf. (8) Chaos Agent won his debut which was on the Tapeta at Gulfstream Park last month.
