Oaks Day FULLCARD Hotlist - May 2

1st race – (1) Anonima can work out a winning trip from the rail for McPeek and Hernandez. (3) Shred the Gear looks like the one to catch. (4) Chasten adds Lasix and merits a look. (5) Sierra November should be a factor at the distance.

2nd race – (9) Salted seems overdue for a winning effort. (5) Endorse is an interesting firster from Pletcher. (3) Saucier may improve with blinkers. (10) Raghba deserves attention here.

3rd race - (11) Vivaldi was a good second after a long layoff and should move forward here. (3) Profound seems sharp despite a layoff. (10) Some Performance could contend in his first US start. (12) Moon Channel has a tough post but has a strong late kick.

4th race – (2) Wondrous could turn in a big effort in her dirt debut. (7) Beauty Reigns should be closing swiftly at the end. (3) Stable Currency belongs in the exotics. (10) Foie Gras may appreciate a fast track.

5th race – The Edgewood Stakes (G2) - (5) Nitrogen chases a fourth straight win and looks best here. (7) Lush Lips could be hard to catch here. (8) Will Then ships in from California and also seeks a fourth win in a row. (2) Vixen had a tough trip last time and can move forward here.

6th race – The Alysheba  Stakes (G2) - (2) Locked romped in the Santa Anita Handicap and should prove best. (4) Fierceness makes his 2025 debut and is definitely the main rival. (5) Most Wanted has speed and may last for a share.

7th race –  The La Troienne Stakes (G1) - (2) Thorpedo Anna is the reigning Horse of the Year and a standout here. (5) Randomized looms as a main threat on her best try. (4) Raging Sea was second to Thorpedo Anna in the Breeders’ Cup and cannot be overlooked. (7) Free Like a Girl was second to the top pick last time in the Apple Blossom.

8th race – Modesty  Stakes (G3)  - (2) Gimme a Nother had a strong US debut and gets the nod here. (8) Saffron Moon edged the top pick last time and shapes up as the key rival. (3) Segesta returns from a layoff but may be primed for a big try. (4) Pin Up Betty is working nicely for her 2025 debut.

9th race – Eight Belles Stakes (G2) – (5) Verity has won three in a row and should work out a winning trip here. (12) Eclatant is in great form but drew a tough post. (10) Impulse Buy could turn in a good effort despite the layoff. (3) Princess Aliyah looked good in an Oaklawn stakes win and should get some consideration.

10th race – The Unbridled Sidney Stakes (G3)  - (9) Queen Maxima has a nice turn of speed and can put it to use from the outside post. (4) Ag Bullet makes her 2025 debut and should pose the biggest threat. (3) Gavea figures to be closing fast at the end. (5) Epona’s Hope has won her last three starts and could be a handful to reel in.

11th race – The Kentucky Oaks (G1)  - (11) Good Cheer is a perfect 6-for-6. Hard to look past her. (14) Quietside has taken some nice steps forward but drew a bad post. (7) La Cara has speed but could be tested early. (6) Ballerina d’Oro could be helped by a quick pace.

12th race – (6) Into Pleasure stretches out but has the pedigree to handle it. (7) Resilience has not run since last year’s Kentucky Derby. May need a start? (10) Not This Boy showed talent before heading to the sidelines in August. (3) Over and Ollie could be a factor in this field.

13th race – (10) Chaching Chaching was second in both starts and may be ready to graduate. (8) Tetiaroa could be set for a good showing in her debut. (3) Ivory and Ebony may like the added distance. (12) Cue the Duckboats may find smooth sailing here.
