Tyler Gaffalione (winning rider of Bottas)
“First off, I’d like to give (trainer) Miguel (Clement) all the credit. He brought this horse over here ready. He fired big for us. He broke alertly, put himself in the right spot and traveled like a winner throughout. He just had to wait and find the room, and when he did he really exploded.”
Case Clay of Case Clay Thoroughbred Management, representing winning owner Dahman (Abdulhadi Mana Al Hajri)
“It’s been a lot of fun. (Trainer) Miguel (Clement) and his team have done an outstanding job with him. He’s now three-for-three (in graded stakes) and I think he’s really coming into his own. We’re very much (looking forward to his 4-year-old season). We might take a shot at California at the end of next month (the Hollywood Derby-G1 at Del Mar) and then put him away for a little while and then look forward to a 4-year-old campaign.”
Luis Saez (rider of runner-up Conducted)
“He did nothing wrong, he ran his race. No excuse. We got beat by the best horse in the race."
Jose Ortiz (rider of third-place finisher Remember Mamba)
“First turn, the 9 (Fancy Sailor)backed up right in front of me, so I had to wait a little bit, and then I just got boxed in there the whole way around there. Then I just followed the winner and the other two never backed up down the lane, and my horse always tries. He runs his heart out and he tries every race you put him in.”
