Flavien Prat (winning rider of In Our Time)

“She jumped so well and showed a lot of speed out of (the gate) but then was able to rate nicely behind the speed, so that was key. I was able to give her a chance around the turn, and when I was able to get her inside, she gave me a good run. Great job by (trainer) Saffie (Joseph Jr.) and all his team.”

John Stewart (of Resolute Racing, winning co-owner)

“Absolutely (worth the wait to get his first stakes win at Keeneland). It’s a dream come true for us, to win here. We think Keeneland is the best place to race horses in the world, and Lord knows we spend enough money here (at the sales), so I’m really glad we got it done today. (The filly) jumps really well, she’s real precocious, but when (jockey) Flavien (Prat) tucked her back in going into the far turn and dropped down into that three position, I knew he was setting her up to be perfect. That’s what she likes to do, and when they came around the turn she just took off and did what she does. I think it was a perfect ride by one of the greatest jockeys in the world and we’ve got a really talented horse. We’re excited with the Breeders’ Cup being here this year. We’ll look forward to seeing her there as long as she stays healthy.”

Javier Castellano (rider of runner-up Creed’s Gold)

“I had a beautiful trip. We broke good out of the gate to be right behind the speed. You could see the pace was really fast, but I was nice and comfortable with my horse following the pacemakers. Everything fell right in the race. My filly ran such a great race. We were second-best today, and I’m looking forward to the future.”

Julien Leparoux (rider of third-place finisher Movin’ On Up)

“It was a great trip. Cutting back in distance, she traveled very nice for me and came up with a nice run at the end. It was great to see Mr. (Ken) Ramsey (owner of Movin’ On Up) and his family here at the races. It has been awhile. We had many races together.”

Jose Ortiz (rider of favorite and ninth-place finisher Shining Star-CHI)

“It was good. She jumped well out of the gate, very similar to the last two races that she ran at Fair Grounds (winning the Mardi Gras Stakes and an allowance race). She shows speed. We were traveling very good, but I wasn’t able to finish today.”
