3rd race [Md 55000, 5½ F TURF] – (4) R P Byrne was second in her last two starts including a synthetic race at Gulfstream Park in April and rallied in a turf sprint at Saratoga in July. (7) Lots of Kisses was farther back than usual in July and rallied from the back of a large field to finish third beaten by a half length. (3) Ilenas Kaz Way debuted in the same race as the top two choices and had the worst trip of three while running fifth. (2) Key Actress has four top three finishes and got claimed by Linda Rice last time out for $35,000.
5th race [Clm 35000 N2L, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (5) Brillante (A) broke last after a long layoff, was hard held, and finished third by less than a length as a heavy favorite. (6) Greyjoy was third in two races this summer for the N2L condition. (8) Artistic Success had the lead when he stretched out to two-turns but faded to fourth. (2) Ur Desire drops in for a tag for the first time after a maiden special weight win at Fair Grounds in March.
8th race [OC 55k/N1X, 1 1/8 mi] – (2) Hidden Rose won an allowance at Finger Lakes in June and then had the lead at today’s condition and was second at Saratoga last month. (1) Answered Prayers won a maiden at Keeneland in April and then a Finger Lakes allowance before setting the pace at a July Saratoga allowance and running second. (7) Seraphina has eight top three finishes and five of them were in Stakes races. (3) Higher Force won a starter allowance at Aqueduct in June.
9th race [Md 85000, 1 mi TURF] – (9) Mistborn was third at Aqueduct in April, second at Monmouth Park in June, and both of those were in maiden special weights. (5) Gum was third in an even higher priced maiden claimer at Saratoga last month. (2) Resort ran in the same last two races as the second choice and Jose Ortiz gets back on. (7) Bourbon Milk Punch drops back to the maiden claiming ranks where she was a contender.
Best bets: Brillante (5th); Mistborn (9th). Best value: R P Bryne (3rd); Hidden Rose (8th).
