3^rd race [Moc 75000C, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (7) Chalky White gets on the turf after entering for the grass last time where he set the pace and finishes second on a sloppy and sealed track. (5) Missing Brian will make his debut for a tag for the Pletcher barn whose 2-year-olds are coming out running well. (8) Lexington Pike is another first-time starter for Pletcher. (3) Mr Browns Town is trained by Chad Brown and will debut for the claiming option.

4^th race [OC32k/SAL25k, 6F] – (5) Lost in Rome (B) hopped at the start to be last, then had to check, finished fifth, and now tries this starter allowance. (1) Acoustic Ave will move to a starter allowance after winning a first-level allowance and then getting second when moving up to the next level. (3) Stewie won the first-level NY-bred allowance in July after a few tries. (2) Jackson Heights won his last two starts moving from a $25,000 claimer to a second-level NY-bred allowance.

5^th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 1 mi TURF] – (6) Oat Coutour (C) was bet down from 10-1 to 9-2 and rallied from sixth to second following a two-month layoff. (1) Before the Wind (B) was bumped soundly at the start, lacked room in the stretch, and finished fourth. (8) Willpowered will make his debut for the Clement barn which is fourth in the trainer’s standings at Saratoga. (3) Spirit of the Law was claimed for $50,000 by the hot Maker barn 10 days ago after getting beaten by a neck.

9^th race [Md 50000, 5 ½ F TURF] – (8) Cara’s Chianti (D) got bet down from 8-1 to 6-1, got into threatening position, but faded. (10) Veola drops in for a tag for the first time after showing speed in her prior races. (11) Victoriously has been training sharply for a trainer that is dangerous shipping to Saratoga with debut runners. (9) Sod Siren made her first start at 4-1 at Gulfstream Park last month in a maiden special weight.

Best bets: Chalky White (3^rd); Oat Coutour (5^th). Best value: Lost in Rome (4^th); Cara’s Chianti (9^th).
