2nd race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (1) Harbaugh (A) moved from a dirt sprint to a Turf route where he pressed the pace, got to the lead, and finished second well clear of the rest of the eight horse field. (2) And the Runner Is made his only start last month and was second in a field of 10 in a similar spot. (5) Hyperscaler will make his debut for Chad Brown and was a $310,000 Keeneland yearling by the $50,000 stallion Maxfield. (8) Broadcast has been training since June at Saratoga with a pair of turf works showing.
4th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (5) Commitment Fund (A) ran late on the inside after having to check and steady and got up for second well ahead of the third-place finisher. (3) Sir Duke was claimed for $100,000 last month from his second race after a third-place debut in March in a maiden special weight. (6) Gadget Play finished second and third in his two starts at Saratoga and Churchill Downs. (7) Chili Palmer made his first start in May and set the pace going a mile before fading to third. He has five recent Saratoga works leading up to today.
9th race [NY, Albany, 1 1/8 mi] – (3) Minorinconvenience returns to racing with NY-breds where he raced at the beginning of his career last year and was a stakes winner. (6) Talk to Me Jimmy won the Withers on the Kentucky Derby trail by 11 lengths and was second in the Peter Pan (G3) before winning the NY Derby for state-breds. (7) Tuning In was an impressive debut winner at Saratoga last month. (4) Onebigbeautifulbill won his first two races including an allowance two weeks ago for Brad Cox.
10th race [Md 55000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (4) Melody Man was second three races in a row at Gulfstream Park in maiden claimers and comes back after a three-month layoff to stretch out in distance. (8) Endernite made his first start in October at Aqueduct and returns as a new gelding with blinkers on. (11) War and Majesty will drop in for a tag for the first time with a second and a third at Churchill during the spring. (7) Franklin Delano will make his first start as a new gelding after getting shuffled back last month in a $100,000 maiden claimer.
Best bets: Harbaugh (2nd); Commitment Fund (4th). Best value: Minorinconvenience (9th); Melody Man (10th).
