1st race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/8 mi] – (3) Chillax was second in his last two starts in Kentucky in the spring for Mott and Godolphin. (5) Secured Lender was third at the Saratoga June meeting after running second in a high priced maiden claimer. (4) Classicist was third in both of his starts last year and gets first-time Lasix. (2) Bob Mo set the pace and finished second at Monmouth Park following a four month layoff and stretches back out at this route distance.
3rd race [Md 20000, 1 1/8 mi] – (6) Adventurist goes from turf to dirt and drops in for a tag for the first time. (1) Belmont Union dropped back to this lowest maiden claiming level and finished third. (7) Article was claimed for $40,000 in May in Kentucky by Linda Rice from his debut and drops down in start three. (4) Smallchangegeep moves from turf to dirt after two starts at Aqueduct and drops down.
8th race [Clm 12500, 6F] – (9) Gone and Forgotten was fourth two weeks ago at Aqueduct and drops down from $25,000. (4) Altered Shot was claimed in April at Keeneland for $25,000 after a front-end victory and drops after a pair of tough races at the Big A. (7) Intermittent Fast was claimed for $50,000 in 2023, came back to win in 2024 at that level, and showed a bit of speed in a starter allowance at Churchill Downs in his 2025 debut in May. (5) Floge was claimed in May from a victory at Aqueduct for $10,000 and then tried a starter allowance.
9th race [Quick Call (G3), 5 ½ F TURF] – (5) Supersonic Blues (A) was making his first start outside of California, broke last, and lost all chance as a horse that prefers to set the pace. (2) Governor Sam won four races in a row last year as a 2-year-old including his maiden at Saratoga and then three stakes at three different tracks. (1) Jet Sweep Joe won a turf sprint allowance at Woodbine in May. He ran in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1) after a pair of seconds in stakes. (4) No Evidence won a maiden at Gulfstream Park and then was second in a stakes and an allowance.
Best bets: Chillax (1st); Adventurist (3rd). Best value: Gone and Forgotten (8th); Supersonic Blues (9th).
