Flavien Prat stays on board expecting a step forward in his second start. (4) Royal Spirit has three top three finishes since joining the Rice barn including a second last time going a long distance also. (6) Irwin will make his second start of the year after running second at Monmouth Park for low-profile trainer Philip Antonacci who has two wins at the Saratoga meeting already. (9) Coalville had the lead and finished second in his debut for Chad Brown at odds of 9-1. (10) Silo Ridge will make his debut for Bill Mott who has been winning a lot of races with first-timers lately.

8th race [OC 62k/N2X, 1 1/8 mi] – (6) Bright Future drops back to an allowance condition where he was third for Pletcher after trying the 12-furlong Brooklyn Handicap (G2). (7) Artorius won the Curlin at Saratoga last year and will make his second start of the year after running fourth in the Salvator Mile (G3) at Monmouth. (2) Speed Bias was a fast second in the Pimlico Special (G2) after setting the pace and getting beaten by Rattle N Roll who is one of the best in the division. (3) The Reds moves to the Chad Brown barn from that of Saffie Joseph Jr.

Best bets: Big Night Out (7th); Bright Future (8th). Best value: Bankingonachance (5th); Clever Thought (6th).
