4th race [Alw 50000s, 6F] – (8) Social Hour broke his maiden for $50,000 in March and since was third and second in a pair of Aqueduct starter allowances. (2) Gardiner ships up from Churchill Downs after winning a $50,000 claimer and running second in a starter allowance after setting the pace. Kentucky trainers are doing well at Saratoga during the first two weeks. (3) Trust Issues was claimed for $50,000 after a victory at Churchill and then came out of the same race as the aforementioned second choice. (7) Remi’s Moon won a $50,000 claimer at Ellis Park in the beginning of July.
5th race [Alw 12500s, 7F] – (2) Talkin in Cursive was claimed in June for $12,500 and then stepped up to win by five lengths in a $40,000 claimer just 10 days ago. (4) Gone and Forgotten was claimed for $12,500 after a clear victory at Saratoga also 10 days back. (3) Problematica was a winner at Churchill for a $20,000 tag last month and then tried a tougher starter allowance at the Spa. (5) Toned Up was claimed away from Linda Rice after running second for $12,500 at Saratoga in the July Belmont Festival.
7th race [Alw 50000s, 7F] – (2) Looks First (A) got steadied at the start and finished second by a neck while well clear of the rest. (3) Beira won her last two starts by three lengths or more each time first when she was claimed for $30,000 and then when in for a $50,000 tag. (4) Daisy Duke was second in a similar condition last month at Churchill. (6) Pam Pam was claimed for $35,000 at Aqueduct in march and came back to win next time for the same price a month later.
8th race [OC 75k/N2X, 6 ½ F] – (2) The Big Calhouna has a pair of thirds and firsts in her last four starts at Aqueduct in a two starter allowances and then moving from the first-level allowance to this level. (3) Princess Madison is a past third-place finisher in a Grade 2 and she made her first start of the year two weeks ago at Ellis Park for a trainer that has an excellent history at the Spa. (1) All Class won the first level allowance in May and then tried the turf to no avail. (5) C’est Cheese was last seen in January winning an allowance at Fair Grounds.
Best bets: Talkin in Cursive (5th); The Big Calhouna (8th). Best value: Social Hour (4th); Looks First (7th).
