Tapit Trice Favored in Saturday’s $1 Million, Grade 1 Toyota Blue Grass at Keeneland

Whisper Hill Farm and Gainesway Stable’s Tapit Trice is the 5-2 morning line favorite in the field of 11 for Saturday’s 99th running of the $1 million Toyota Blue Grass (G1) at Keeneland.

Saturday is Toyota Blue Grass Day: Eleven races begin at 12:30 p.m.

NBC coverage: The Toyota Blue Grass will be the ninth of 11 races on Keeneland’s April 8 card with a 5:15 p.m. ET post. NBC will televise the race along with the Runhappy Santa Anita Derby (G1) and another Keeneland stakes from 4:30-6 p.m.

Toyota Blue Grass is a classic prep: The Toyota Blue Grass is a major prep for the Kentucky Derby (G1) Presented by Woodford Reserve on May 7 at Churchill Downs. The Toyota Blue Grass offers 200 qualifying points for the Derby on a 100-40-30-20-10 scale to the first five finishers.
