Michelle Lovell (winning trainer of Change of Control. With the win, Lovell recorded her 500th career victory and her first stakes win at Keeneland.)

“It’s really special to get (my first stakes victory) at Keeneland, and it’s really special to get it with this filly. She’s been the most honest horse, and she just ran so great today. We weren’t expecting her to be able to run them down on the soft turf, so she proved us wrong. She always wins on the long odds anyway, so she’s a champ to me.”

“She’s been training really well. She ran a super race (taken) off the turf last time, and she doesn’t relish the dirt at all. She came out of the race super, she’s been really good. We took the blinkers off her, and maybe that helped a little too. We expected her to run well, but we didn’t know that we were going to win though. That’s nice.”

Colby Hernandez (winning rider, who scored his first Keeneland stakes victory)

“She broke very well and put me in a great position. I was sitting about third or fourth right on the outside. In the top of the lane, I tipped her out and made her switch leads and she just ran on. When she switched over to her right lead she ran on, she really kicked on whenever she switched.

“It is nice (to pick up my first stakes win at Keeneland). Thank you, Michelle”

Brendan Walsh (trainer of runner-up Into Mystic)

“She ran a really good race. I thought we were home when we hit the front.”
