Joe Bravo (winning rider of Lady Prancealot [IRE])

“This filly really came over here (for the race) nice. She was sharp in the Paddock, looking good. She broke, breathed, relaxed – so comfortable. We turned for home (and) she knew what she had to do. I was just lucky enough to be the passenger today. She saw that horse in front (Blowout [GB] with John Velazquez aboard), and she went after her. Johnny had a nice horse in front of us, but my filly was all over it.”

Richard Baltas (winning trainer)

On his confidence especially after Lady Prancealot’s bullet breeze over the Keeneland turf on Sept. 29 in her first of three turf works here

“She worked very well here. Her weight was good, and she had another breeze that was really, really good. We’ve been lucky here (he won last year’s Shadwell Turf Mile-G1 with Next Shares and the Grade 3 Beaumont Presented by Keeneland Select with Gas Station Sushi). These are the best horses in the country, so we’re lucky we got her home today.

“She deserves (the win). You’ve gotta have the trip when you have a closer. Joe did an awesome job. He saved ground, stayed to the outside and got her clear. She ran down the 2 (Blowout). It was a very sweet victory.”

John Velazquez (rider of runner-up and beaten favorite Blowout [GB])

“It was a perfect trip. I was in front and was trying to save her as best I could to have something left down the lane. A nice horse beat her today. She put up a really good fight. I could see them (winner Lady Prancealot [IRE] and third-place finisher The Mackem Bullet [IRE]) coming from both sides, but we couldn’t hold on. She ran a really good race today.”

Tyler Gaffalione (rider of third-place finisher The Mackem Bullet [IRE])

“I had a fairly easy trip. She settled nicely for me and finished up strong. She probably would have been a little bit better with an outside run, but that was the spot available so we took it. It was a good race and my filly came back good so we’ll look for the next start. It was honest (the fractions); it was what we expected.”
