Rusty Arnold (winning trainer of Navratilova)

On training this filly and her dam, Grade 1 winner Centre Court, and delivering the milestone Keeneland Tray for owner G. Watts Humphrey Jr. in recognition of Humphrey’s eighth graded stakes win here)

“Oh, it’s great. And we had her second dam too, Let, and that was one of the first horses I had for him. So, it’s great. It’s almost been 30 years (since he began training for Humphrey) and that’s unheard of in our business. It tells you what kind of guy he is.

On the filly’s front-running effort

“Really, that was the plan. I told Colby (Hernandez) – he hadn’t been on her – I said, ‘Put her on the front. I think she’ll relax. I think she’ll get you to the eighth pole, and it’s up to you from there on in.’ ”

Colby Hernandez (winning jockey)

“(Arnold) said if I could get her out there on the lead, nice and early (and) going easy, ‘she’ll finish up for you.’ He said they won’t pass her. We got a nice easy lead.”

Brian Hernandez Jr. (rider of runner-up Crazy Beautiful and brother of Colby Hernandez)

“We had a great trip, right behind the winner the whole way. Turning for home, I thought I could wear (the leader) down. (The winner) was able to outsprint us for home. This is her second start on the grass; she broke her maiden first time out (on grass). She got over it well for soft ground. Just second best today.”

Kenny McPeek (trainer of Crazy Beautiful)

“You could run her on anything. She is a very, very good filly. Level-wise, it was a really good spot. Unfortunately the horse on the front end got away from us.”

Joel Rosario (rider of fourth-place finisher and beaten favorite Tobys Heart)

“I had a good trip. I was following the horse that was in the lead and it looked like (Tobys Heart) was comfortable and in a good position, but the horse in the lead just kept going. She handled it fine (the surface), but it was a little different. She tried hard. I tried to make a move – we just didn’t get there.”
