Joel Rosario (winning rider of Bound for Nowhere)

“Many thanks to Wesley Ward. He’s just an amazing trainer so thanks for the opportunity.”

“I was way outside from the draw. It looked like a little bit of speed, but he can come from off the pace too. But just like I said it's all Wesley Ward.”

Wesley Ward (owner-trainer of Bound for Nowhere)

“(Joel Rosario) is very patient, we call him a cool sitter and a go-getter. He’s unbelievable. He sits back there and rides with a lot of confidence as he did for Mr. Ramsey yesterday in that race (Chasing Artie in the Palisades Turf Sprint). Horses just run for him, he’s got beautiful hands and very patient, and you can never count him out – turning for home here he comes.”

“He's a really hard horse to train. He’s got a lot of issues that he’s overcome. Just minor deals, but major setbacks when you're trying to keep him at this level. I’ve got to give all the credit to his rider who rides him every day, Julio Garcia, who’s ridden him the majority of his career. He was supposed to ride him today and he said, 'No Wesley I'm officially retired.’ But he’s on him every day for all these years, and I can’t thank that little fella enough."

Joe Orseno (trainer of runner-up Imprimis)

“I have to watch the replay again, but I wasn’t too disappointed in the trip. My horse was cranked up and ready to go. He didn’t have to get checked or steadied or anything. I thought he ran well. I thought he ran real well.”

Luis Saez (rider of third-place finisher The Critical Way)

“He got away from the gate OK and there was some other speed in the race today but was in a good spot and ran hard.”
