Tapit Filly Sells For $1.25 Million At September Sale

Claiborne Farm, agent, paid $1.25 million for a filly by Tapit who is out of Grade 1 winner Embellish the Lace during today’s opening session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Bluewater Sales, agent, consigned the filly, who is from the family of Grade 1 winners Afleet Express and Materiality, Grade 2 winners Eye of the Tiger and My Miss Sophia, and Grade 3 winner Fighting Fantasy

Whisper Hill Farm paid $1.1 million for a Medaglia d’Oro filly who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner and sire Constitution during today’s opening session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Denali Stud, agent, consigned the filly, who dam is the Grade 3-placed winner Baffled, by Distorted Humour. The filly is a half-sister to Group 2 winner Boynton and Grade 3 winner Jacaranda.

A filly by Quality Road sold for $1 million to Donato Lanni, agent, during today’s opening session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Gainesway, agent, consigned the filly, whose dam is the Grade 3-placed Ghostzapper mare Beloveda. The filly is from the family of Grade 3 winners Voyagers Quest and Golden Mystery. Her half-sister Mistress of Love, a stakes-placed daughter of Scat Daddy, sold for $1 million at the 2017 September Sale.

Mike Ryan, agent, paid $1.05 million for a War Front filly who is a full sister to European and Irish highweight Air Force Blue during today’s opening session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Breeder Stone Farm consigned the filly, whose dam is the stakes-placed Maria’s Mon mare Chatham.

Gainesway, agent, consigned the colt, who is out of the Grade 2-placed winner Curlina, by Cuvee.
