Horse Name: Oldest Sister

Race: 6

Age: 3

Trainer: Vicki Oliver

Attending Veterinarian: Dr. Bo Landry

Details: Jockey Luis Saez pulled Oldest Sister up after the wire after showing slight lameness in the left front limb. She was transported uneventfully to the barn by the Keeneland ambulance team for further evaluation by Dr. Bo Landry and the KHRC veterinary team. Digital radiographs taken by Dr. Landry diagnosed an apical medial sesamoid fracture in the left front fetlock. Surgical opinion was sought related to her apical sesamoid injury and felt that conservative treatment to allow healing was in her best interest for long term soundness. She continues to do well at the farm where she has been taken for retirement as reported by the trainer.
