An incident occurred in Race 8 involving High Go and jockey Tyler Gaffalione on the backstretch.

Tyler Gaffalione walked off and was evaluated by UK HealthCare medical staff and cleared.

High Go was attended to by an expert team of veterinarians led by KHGRC Chief Veterinarian Dr. Nick Smith, in consultation with Keeneland Vice President of Equine Safety Dr. Stuart Brown. He sustained a fractured right shoulder, and humane euthanasia was elected in the best interest of the horse.
