Coolmore Turf Mile (G1)

A global powerhouse in Thoroughbred breeding and racing, Coolmore calls Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky, their Stateside home. Since establishing its U.S. base in the 1980s, Coolmore has brought world-class stallions, international reach, and a commitment to excellence that has shaped racing at the highest levels. Coolmore’s support of Keeneland racing dates back to 1998, beginning with sponsorship of the Lexington, followed by the Jenny Wiley. In 2022, Coolmore became the title sponsor of Keeneland’s prestigious Turf Mile, further cementing its dedication to supporting elite racing in North America.

The Turf Mile was inaugurated at Keeneland in 1986 and has grown into one of the nation’s top one-mile turf races. Held each fall, the Grade 1 event regularly draws a top-tier international field and serves as a “Win and You’re In” qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Mile.
