1st Race
5-Nightmare Fuel took some money in her debut but broke slowly. This barn does well when dropping horses from straight maiden company into the claiming ranks and the filly shows two nice local works. 1-Shot At Perfection ran one of her best races going six furlongs on the main track last November--and that's what she gets to do in this spot. 2-Getting Closer picks up Tyler Gafflione in the saddle and he started finding his way to the winner's circle late last week here at Keeneland.
2nd Race
9-Pot's Right shows a sharp local work from the gate and breaking quickly may be the ticket to upsetting the favorite in this spot. 5-Joker's Chic represents the Ward barn and they are once again dominating these two-year old races. 6-Zamina has three local works including one from the gate.
3rd Race
6-Kavod blitzed her rivals in her 2026 debut at the Fairgrounds, drawing off to win by almost six lengths and the runnerup just missed a win here last week. 2-Inexorable has improved since moving into the Jacobson barn and the runnerup in his most recent race came back to win. 4-Tuskegee Airmen has 10 top three finishes from 19 starts and has run well in his first two starts off the layoff.
4th Race
3-I'm Trouble debuted at the tough Kentucky Downs meet last fall and finished second so this gelding can certainly be ready to fire off a break of just over three months for trainer Wesley Ward. Johnny V taking the riding call is a big plus, too. Stablemate 8-Ink Lies comes off a layoff of almost a year but the Ward barn can get one ready for a spot like this with no problem. 9-McCann debuts for a trainer who has strong numbers with first-time starters and Prat takes mount.
5th Race
6-Brooklyn Can Dance could upset this bunch at a price. There's certainly no standout to worry about and this four-year old filly scored a win two back, using her early speed that could serve her well in this spot. She's only had one chance to run on the main track and that was here last spring when rain turned the track to a muddy condition. This daughter of Bolt d'Oro should be just fine on a fast main track. 2-Black Ginger has run well here twice and gets Jose Ortiz to ride. 8-She's No Angel improved her Beyer number 11 points last time and she's hit the board five times from 10 starts. 3-Wild Acclaim also ran pretty well here last fall.
6th Race
7-Jubilee Parade ran well in his first time sprinting on the turf when making his three-year old debut in Feburary and followed it up with a good effort on synthetic for the Mott barn and their runners are firing at this meet. 5-Gypsy Art was beaten about four lengths by the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint winner when they hooked up last fall and Ward can certainly have this one ready to fire off the layoff. 4-Taterpie comes from the Foley barn and they have solid numbers in this type of race. 10-Fuzzy Stare was favored in his only race which was last month on synthetic and he's working well locally.
7th Race
This one looks like a two-horse race. I'll lean to 2-Rothko as the potential controlling speed factor for the Cox barn. 5-Fact ran very well last out at Gulfstream for Walden off a long layoff and should improve off that effort. 3-Roger Roger ships in from New York off a maiden win and the trainer has good numbers when stretching her horses out to longer distances.
8th Race
6-Austere has five top-two finishes from 12 starts for the Walsh barn. In an interview for the Today at Keeneland show, Walsh was very high on this five-year old mare is coming up to this race off a long layoff. She won her debut and later won off a lengthy break and Walsh certainly doesn't need to ask directions to the Keeneland winner's circle. 3-Child of the Moon has run well in her last two against good fields and that has come off a long layoff. 12-Sweet Treasure was third last time to Expensive Queen, who dead-heated for first in the grade 1 Jenny Wiley last weekend.
