Parking and Tailgating


Keeneland offers a variety of parking and tailgating options for all patrons attending a race day or tailgating with close friends. While we invite you to tailgate at a number of locations on our grounds, we ask that you review the rules specific to each area before planning your day at the races.

Parking and Tailgating Rules

Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited across the Keeneland grounds.

Please see below on operational hours, rules and regulations for specific tailgating and parking areas.

The Hill - Free Parking

Keeneland's Official Tailgate Area

Grounds Entry through Gate 1 - Man O' War and Versailles Road

While parking is available each race day on The Hill, amenities are available Fridays through Sundays from 8 a.m. to 60 minutes following the last race.

Amenities include food trucks, live music presented by The Burl, jumbo TV to watch live racing, wagering options and more!

Tailgating Tents

10x10 pop-up within parking space areas are permitted. Any tent larger than a 10x10 must be secured through Keeneland’s exclusive tailgating partner, RevelXP. Keeneland Security holds the right to ask patrons or vendors to breakdown any tents that fall outside of these parameters. Setup opens at 8 a.m. and tents must be removed 60 minutes following the last race. Click here for premium tailgating with RevelXP.

Premium Tailgating

Take your tailgate to the next level and book a premium tailgating package on The Hill for parties of 10 to 750 with RevelXP! On Thursdays through Sundays during the Spring Meet, groups of any size can arrange for a reserved tailgating package including designated tent, chairs, tables and more. Prohibited Items

Charcoal/wood fire open-flame cooking, open bars or kegs, balloons of any kind, inflatables, DJs or amplified sound equipment, fire pits

Permitted Items

Tables, chairs, coolers, televisions, generators, gas grills (footprint must stay out of parking/traffic lanes), maximum size for generators is 7000-watt

Animals

Must be kept on a leash and are not allowed to run free

Large Cooking Devices

Please call security management for approval in advance. Non-approved cooking trailers will be asked to be removed. Contact Security at 859-288-4926 prior to arrival.

Weather

In the event of inclement weather, The Hill amenities, parking area or other operations may be adjusted for the safety of all patrons. Like or follow Keeneland Association on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date.

Bus Lot

Permit Required

Grounds Entry through Gate 1 - Man O’ War and Versailles Road

Open race days, 8 a.m. to 60 minutes following the last race.

Parking spaces in the Bus Lot are for commercial buses and must now be purchased in advance by calling the ticket office at 859-254-3412. Busses dropping off in the Shuttle Depot may park in the Entertainment Center Lot.

Permitted Items

Tables and chairs (must stay within parking space and not interfere with traffic operations)

Handicap Parking

Complimentary handicap parking with shuttle service to the Grandstand South Entrance is available. Parking is in Rows 21-25.

Permitted Items

Ride Share

Drop Off and Pick Up Only

Grounds Entry through Gate 1 - Man O’ War and Versailles Road

Uber/Lyft/Taxis, personal pick-ups/drop offs and private car services (sedans and SUVs) will be directed to RIDESHARE, located adjacent to the Shuttle Depot. There will be NO vehicular access to the North or South Grandstand Entrances for drop-off/pick-up.

Shuttle Depot

DROP OFF AND PICK UP ONLY

Grounds Entry through Gate 1 - Man O’ War and Versailles Road

Patrons utilizing LexTran and Private Bus Services can utilize Keeneland’s new Shuttle Depot lot for easy and efficient drop off and pick up. Patrons with ADA or mobility assistance needs will have access to complimentary golf carts that will pick up and drop off at the South Grandstand Entrance Plaza.
