The race is named for Bourbon County, home to some of North America’s most productive Thoroughbred farms. The county is located north of Lexington and Paris is the county seat. The Castle & Key Bourbon (G2) is a Breeders' Cup Challenge "Win and You're In" race for the 2025 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.
