After Race 6 at Keeneland, #2 Splash Master was transported back to the barn and evaluated by her attending veterinarian. She was transported to a local equine clinic and was diagnosed with a ruptured flexor tendon in her left hindlimb. In the best interest of the horse, connections elected to euthanize at the clinic. During Race 1 at Keeneland, #7 Baytown Triobloidi was pulled up by jockey Angel Serpa after sustaining an injury to his left hind tibia. He was attended to by KHRCG Chief Veterinarian Dr. Nick Smith and Keeneland Vice President of Equine Safety Dr. Stuart Brown. Due to the severity of the injury, it was determined that humane euthanasia was in the best interest of the horse. We offer our condolences to owner Baytown Partnerships and trainer Paul McEntee.
