Contender(s) in preference order with minimum odds for considering win bets:
#3 C K Wonder – at odds of 2 to 1 or higher
#2 Floodlites – at odds of 2 to 1 or higher

Exacta: Box 2, 3

C K Wonder won his last race at six and one-half furlongs by two and one-half lengths. Trainer Dale Romans has an excellent record when his horses win back-to-back in dirt sprint and allowance races, going 8-1-1 in 25 races over the past five years. Jockey Martin Garcia was injured a couple of weeks ago, and Jose Ortiz is subbing for him. C K Wonder has won at Keeneland and has also placed second in two other races this year. This horse is in excellent condition and can win again.

The other win contender is Floodlites. He returns from a five-month layoff after finishing fifth. However, he won one back at Keeneland by four lengths, also off a four-month layoff, and he won his only other start at Keeneland. Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez rode Floodlites in that win last April, the only time he rode the horse, and he gets back aboard today. If Floodlites is back to run as he did in April and CK Wonder runs another “A” race, this is a great race to bet and to watch.
