To enhance every guest’s experience, Keeneland observes three distinct dress codes for attire: Casual, Business Casual and Business Formal. Because guidelines vary by venue, please review details for your venue prior to the race meet so you can arrive dressed well for your day at the races.

Do dress code requirements apply to children?: While we encourage guests of all ages to dress elegantly for a memorable race day experience, children aged 12 and under are not required to adhere to the full dress code.
Can I wear military / religious attire?: Yes, official military dress uniforms and formal clergy attire are permitted.
Is denim allowed?: Denim is only allowed in venues with a causal dress code (Equestrian Room, Grandstand Reserved Seats, General Admission). No denim, regardless of color or style is permitted in rooms with a Business Formal or Business Casual dress code.

For Gentlemen

Kids Club Family Day

Kids Club Family Day

Sunday, April 19

The Keeneland Kids Club is the Official Kids Club for Keeneland fans ages 12 and under. One day during each race meet, Kids Club members and their families are invited to enjoy a special day at the races. Children 12 and under receive free general admission (no ticket required) and Kids Club members may reserve up to two complimentary general admission tickets for accompanying adults in advance of the event. Access to reserved grandstand seating in Sections A, B & C is also available for this special Kids Club Day.

Children’s activities will take place in the North Terrace from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and include face painting, a sweet treat, and photos with our official Kids Club mascot, Buckles! Families can also enjoy activities with local community partners such as Amplify Horse Racing, Golisano Children's at UK, LexArts and The Salvation Army.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I receive free admission?: Kids 12 and under receive free general admission every day of the race meet, no ticket required! On Kids Club Family Day our members can reserve up to two general admission tickets for accompanying adults on April 19. Tickets must be reserved in advance. To purchase additional tickets, please visit tickets.keeneland.com.
Where do Kids Club Family Day Activities happen?: Start your day by visiting the North Terrace, which is where all of the Kids Club Family Day Activities take place. For easiest entry, enter through the North Gate.
What time does it start?: Gates open at 11 a.m. and North Terrace activities will be available from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Some activities may close their lines prior to 3:00 p.m.
Where can I sit?: Reserved seating is available all day in Sections A, B, and C of the Grandstand on a first come first serve basis.

Dogwood Room

Named for the native Kentucky flowering Dogwood tree found throughout Keeneland’s park-like grounds, the Dogwood Room offers guests a welcoming space that reflects the elegance and charm of its surroundings. Located on the second floor of the new Paddock Building, this spacious venue overlooks the Saddling Paddock, providing an ideal vantage point. The room features buffet-style dining, blending tradition with comfort for a memorable race day.

Group reservations are capped at 100 guests. If requesting more than one date, you will only be accepted for one date, if chosen.
There is no guarantee all requests will be filled due to limited availability.
Keeneland reserves the right to deny requests that are associated with ticket brokers.

Tickets	Pricing: $125 (Wed/Thu) & $150 (Sunday) Includes General Admission entry, reserved table, buffet and a program. Available for groups on select Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays
Food & Beverage	Buffet lunch and cocktail service; A la carte snacks and beverages available for purchase.
Cancellation Policy	If you need a refund on any of your tables, you must notify the ticket office 2 weeks before your arrival date. No refunds will be given after that time. You have to return whole tables.
Gratuity Policy	A 20% gratuity will be automatically applied to food and beverage for all groups of 8 or more in the dining rooms.
Arrival Time	Patrons must check in to the dining room by 1:15 p.m. or tables may be resold. Room opens at 11 a.m. Lunch is available 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Dress Code	Business Casual Gentlemen: Collared shirt and dress slacks. Dress shoes or loafers. Ladies: Dress, dress top and skirt or pantsuits. One piece jumpsuits should fall below the knee. Dress shoes or dress sandals Not Permitted: Denim regardless of color or type, this includes denim jackets or pants designed to resemble jeans; shorts, including rompers; athletic attire, including athleisure leggings; visible midriffs (defined as the mid-region of the torso between the chest and the waist); flip-flops; clothing with offensive or explicit messaging. Dress code rules do not apply to children 12 and under.

Named for the creeping ivy that adorns Keeneland’s iconic limestone facades, the Ivy Room is an ideal setting for groups seeking a traditional Keeneland dining experience. Located on the second floor of the Paddock Building, this space complements the Dogwood Room experience and offerings. The Ivy Room provides a comfortable, intimate atmosphere with buffet-style dining in a refined setting.
